The National Museum of Cinema was born from a project by the historian Maria Adriana Prolo in 1941. Vertical museum, located within the Mole Antonelliana - which is an historic building in Turin - the museum is amongst the most important ones of its kind in the world. Several the collections hosted on the five floors of the dome: archeology of cinema, history of photography, movie posters, photographic records and stage sets.
